In Memory of Victor Stiff

“Dapper Englishman Had A Special Love For Dogs.” That was the title of the Hartford Courant article by Anne Hamilton recounting the fascinating life of longtime beloved member,

Victor Stiff.

Vic Stiff was a quiet, wry Englishman who had a way with dogs and people. He was born in Bristol , England and grew up in Argentina . After WWII, Victor moved to New York and met Peg. They were married and in 1966 moved to Canton , Connecticut .

Victor and Peg bred and showed their Pulik for many years. They joined FVKC in the sixties. Victor held many positions in the club, including president. His last positions were AKC delegate and Connecticut Dog Federation delegate. Victor was also chief steward many years for the First Company Governor's Foot Guard.

A quote from the article says it all: “He had that very elegant British presence about him. He looked so proper but was delightfully fresh.” He will be missed.
